Freedom Trail Hike Trip

We spent the day exploring Boston on foot, following the historic 2.5-mile Freedom Trail that winds through the heart of the city. Along the way, we stepped back in time at some of America’s most iconic landmarks — the Old North Church, King’s Chapel, Quincy Market, the Paul Revere House, the Bunker Hill Monument, and even the USS Constitution. (According to Mr. Scherer, it’s not just a ship — it’s where the *original* Constitution is kept! 😆)

We paused for lunch beside Boston Harbor, relaxing on the grass and enjoying delicious slices from Regina Pizzeria while watching the boats drift by. Of course, our “2.5-mile walk” somehow turned into what Mrs. Scherer swears was a 10-mile trek through the city, thanks to all our detours. We wandered off the main path to visit the charming “Make Way for Ducklings” statues in the Public Garden and spent some quiet, reflective moments at the moving New England Holocaust Memorial. By the end of the day, our feet were tired, but our spirits were high — full of history, laughter, and a few inside jokes we’ll never forget. Boston truly came alive with every step, every story, and every unexpected turn along the way.
